Who We Are

H4 Pathways Austin is a student-led research and advocacy initiative based in Austin, Texas. We are not a company or commercial organization. This initiative was built by a high school student to document the career access gap facing H4 and other visa-restricted students in Central Texas.

We can be reached via email at hello@h4pathways.org.

What We Collect

Through our student survey platform, we may collect the following data metrics:

We do not collect your full name. We do not collect your exact visa category beyond the broad groupings listed, except an optional general description if you select Other. We do not collect any government identification numbers, immigration case numbers, or legal documentation.

How We Use Your Data

Survey responses are used solely for the following initiative milestones:

We do not sell, share, or distribute your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share individual raw responses with corporations, schools, or outside organizations.

If you provided an open-ended story response and gave permission for anonymous use, we may include it, entirely without any identifying indicators, in our final policy reports or company outreach kits.

Visa Status Data Security

We understand that visa status is highly sensitive information within the current immigration landscape. We take data minimization seriously.

We collect visa status in broad conceptual categories only. We never collect immigration case numbers, A-numbers, visa expiration deadlines, or documentation copies. Individual responses are never shared with any government agency, immigration authority, employer, or school administration framework. Survey metrics are stored in a secure data system accessible only to the initiative founder.

If you are uncomfortable selecting your specific visa grouping, you may choose "Yes - Other restrictive visa" without specifying further, or choose not to complete the survey path.

Minors and Parental Consent

Our research survey is intended for secondary school students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents or legal guardians. We do not knowingly gather information from students below the 9th grade bracket.

If you are a parent or guardian completing this survey on behalf of or alongside your child, your participation confirms explicit consent for the metrics provided to be processed as detailed in this policy document.

If you believe a child under 9th grade has submitted data, please notify us at hello@h4pathways.org and we will remove the record entry from our database immediately.

Data Storage and Security

Survey responses are compiled inside a private data layer accessible only to the initiative founder. This repository is not publicly viewable. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or commercial analytics code on any page of this site.

Email addresses collected through the voluntary update fields are stored separately and are exclusively utilized to notify participants about H4 Pathways Austin group educational opportunities.

Your Information Rights

You may request full erasure of your survey metrics at any time by emailing hello@h4pathways.org. Because individual responses are not linked to a personal name, please include your school name, grade, and approximate date of submission so we can locate and purge your entry safely.

You may also request a copy of your submitted response metrics. We will fulfill all data requests within 14 business days.

Changes to This Policy

If we alter how we collect or manage user data metrics, we will update this text page. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued interaction with the site or survey after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy terms.
